Black truffle carpaccio from Selezione Tartufi features beautiful, thinly sliced black summer truffles from the Piedmont area of Northern Italy. Marinaded in extra virgin olive oil ,the true characteristic aroma is preserved, a simple substitute for fresh truffles, with the benefit of being available all year round. A favorite ingredient amongst chefs, as it can spice up any dish, this carpaccio goes with almost anything.
Serving Suggestions
These slices are especially fantastic served over risotto or meats. Both slices as well as oil can be used to give great truffle flavor. Suggestion: Risotto topped with truffle carpaccio, seared Scallops topped with truffle carpaccio, tortellini with truffle carpaccio, topping for pizza- use more as a spice rather than a condiment, one slice is plenty as a serving portion per person – try eaten alone, as if savoring fresh olives. Delicate removal required from the tin, and when handling.
